Dinner for Eight (or Six)

2023 Information

Please sign up by Sunday, January 15,
if you want to participate in February

Hello, PGIslanders,

After the long COVID hiatus, it’s time we resumed our PGIslanders tradition of Dinner for Eight. Since some of you may not have room to serve eight people, this season we’re adding the option of Dinner for Six. For simplicity and tradition, we’ll continue to refer to this as Dinner for Eight.

This is an opportunity to get to know other PGIslanders members better. No need to be a gourmet cook – it’s about spending time together!

Dinner for Eight is simple: Each scheduled meal will be hosted at a member’s home, with guests bringing a dish to share as requested by the host, and their own beverages. Though it’s titled Dinner for…you can host a brunch, lunch, dinner, appetizers, a picnic, or whatever you choose. It’s all about having an enjoyable get together with a small group of PGIslanders in a more intimate setting.

If you would like to participate, please send me an email. Let me know whether you want to host six or eight people (including you) and which months, from October to May, you are available. You may also sign up by the 15th of each month for the following month. The first meal will be in October, so please sign up by September 15.

We will mix members up, trying to match you with as many different PGIslanders as possible during the season. Depending on how many participants, you may host once or twice. If you have any questions, please contact me.

We look forward to a fun season with good food and friends.
