PGIslanders Monthly Member Meeting
Thursday, December 4, 2025
Join us 6:30 PM for Pizza, followed by
the Meeting and Education Segment
On Thursday, December 4, we’ll hold our Monthly Member Meeting, where we’ll begin with our Education Segment, followed by the monthly review of upcoming cruises, social events, and other club matters.
A special vote will be taken on the question of amending our Bylaws to allow PGICA members without boats to join the PGIslanders. You must be present to vote.
As part of our December meeting, we’ll be serving pizza. Please bring your own beverages. If you’ll be at the meeting, please help us with ordering enough pizza letting us know how many are coming. If you wish to enjoy the pizza, it’s very important you RSVP by Tuesday, December 2.
Our 50/50 raffle will be held, so please bring cash (small bills) to participate in this fun, and potentially rewarding, activity.
Education Segment
Active Shooter Awareness
Justin Davoult
Punta Gorda Police Department
Lieutenant, Community Services
This is an active shooter presentation designed to prepare citizens if they happen to be in an active shooter situation. It contains key factors to keep in mind and some actions to take along with what to expect from responding officers.
Justin is returning by popular demand following his presentation in October about avoiding various types of scams. Here is a repeat of his bio.
Justin began his career with the Punta Gorda Police Department in 2009 and was assigned to road patrol.
In 2015 he moved to the Criminal Investigations Section.
More recently he was promoted to Lieutenant and was assigned as the Community Services Lieutenant.
As the Community Services Lieutenant, Justin supervises the School Resource Officers, is a department Public Information Officer, manages the community events throughout the year, and is the Executive Director of the Do the Right Thing of Charlotte County.
This should be an interesting and informational segment.
See you Thursday!
