SUMMARY:‘Tween Waters Marina
DESCRIPTION:Cruise to \n\n‘Tween Waters Marina\nMarch 20 to March 22\, 20
23\nCruise Captain Dave Porter is leading a PGIslanders Cruise to ‘Tween
Waters Marina\, arriving Monday\, March 20 and departing Wednesday\, Marc
h 22. Seven cruise boats have expressed interest\, and I am allowing for n
ine. These are the first available dates for a group of our size.\n\n‘Tw
een Waters Island Resort &amp\; Marina is nestled between their private Gu
lf of Mexico beaches and the natural beauty of Pine Island Sound\, and com
bines historic charm\, luxury amenities\, and pure relaxation at their bea
utiful Captiva Island location.\n\nMany properties on Captiva are still cl
osed due to damage from Hurricane Ian. Services at ‘Tween Waters are sub
stantially intact\, though internet is sporadic at times. See info about r
estaurants below. The property is very quiet because of limited onshore pa
tronage. The marina is getting busier given the lack of alternative destin
ations in the area. Options off-property are few and not viable presently.
‘Tween Waters is an oasis and am pleased with the opportunity to cruise
there.\n\nTween Waters Status:\n\n The hurricane surge reached the floor
baseboards of the Ship’s Store. Most of the property’s building are h
igher and were not flooded.\n The cruising approach from the ICW is uncha
nged from pre-Hurricane.  That is\, 6’ depth at high tide and 4’ at l
ow tide.  Exercise caution as before. Tides for the Captiva (Pine Island
Sound) for Monday\, March 20 are lows at 8:11 am and 7:46 pm\, and high at
2:09 pm.\n The docks are undamaged from the storm.\n Depths at docks ar
 e 5.5’ to 6’ at low tide.\n Diesel fuel and pump-out available.\n Sl
ips will be added for the permanent relocation of the Colgate Sailing Scho
ol.\n On site Old Captiva House Restaurant is open for breakfast\, lunch\
, and dinner.\n On site Crow’s Nest restaurant is closed through March
for extensive remodeling and will reopen as The Shipyard restaurant.\n Po
ols and pool bar are open\, though the pool kitchen is closed.\n Spa is o
pen by appointment.\n Bikes and kayaks are available and complimentary.\n
The beach is in very good shape.\n\nCaptiva Island Status:\n\n Curfew 9
:00 pm to 6:00 am.\n South Seas Resort was heavily damaged and is undergo
ing extensive renovation – no public access. Only one resident remains o
n site. Docks will have all new electrical service.\n Doc Fords is closed
permanently. The property is retained by South Seas.\n Chadwick Square i
s closed indefinitely.\n\n\n Green Flash is closed until at least March.\
