Cruise to
Pelican Bay and Cabbage Key
February 14 to February 16, 2023
Join Cruise Captain Dave Porter and your fellow PGIslanders for a cruise to Pelican Bay, arriving Tuesday, February 14 and departing Thursday, February 16.
The itinerary includes Valentine’s Day Dinner at Cabbage Key Restaurant on Tuesday at 6:00 pm. Evening dinners at Cabbage Key are very quiet, somewhat more formal, and by reservation only – to be handled by your Cruise Captain. Our group of about twenty PGIslanders places us in the Money Room if chilly, or in the front inside area if warm. Entree choices are limited to ribeye, fresh fish of the day, or chicken piccata.
Anchoring options include two nights in Pelican Bay, or one night off Useppa Island (across from Cabbage Key) and one night in Pelican Bay. We’ll tender from either anchorage to Cabbage Key. Cruisers without a tender, contact Dave Porter to arrange rides with other participants. If you prefer to dock at a marina, two overnight slips currently remain available at Cabbage Key Marina for Tuesday, February 14. Electric is not currently available at the slips due to damage from Hurricane Ian. If interested, please contact Lisa at Cabbage Key directly at 239-283-2278.
Tides for the area (based on Pineland, Pine Island) for February 14 are low at 3:30 am and high at 6:59 pm.
If interested in joining us, please contact Dave by replying to this email. Let him know if you need tendering to shore. Thank you to those cruisers who indicated interest at the PGIslanders Member Meeting last Thursday. You need not confirm your interest again.
Hope to see you there!
Dave Porter
