the Meeting and Education Segment
Our original Education Segment on Marine Insurance has been postponed due to Hurricane Helene.
Former PGIslander, Duane Ising, has graciously stepped in for an interesting boating segment.
At Thursday’s Member Meeting, we’ll be reviewing upcoming cruises and social events, followed by our Education Segment.
As part of our October Meeting, we’ll be serving pizza. Please bring your own beverages. If you’ll be at the meeting, please help us with ordering enough pizza letting us know how many are coming. If you wish to enjoy the pizza, it’s very important you RSVP by Tuesday October 1.
Our 50/50 raffle will be held, so please bring cash (small bills) to participate in this fun, and potentially rewarding, activity.
Education Segment
Cruising the St. Johns River

Our speaker this month, former PGIslander Duane Ising, will discuss the St. Johns River and his experience cruising the area.
The St. Johns River, Florida’s largest river, flows 310 miles northward from its headwaters near Vero Beach to empty into the Atlantic Ocean near Jacksonville. Duane & Diane Ising cruised the river over 180 miles south to Sanford and then back to Jacksonville, exploring an old-world Florida that many never see.
