the Meeting and Education Segment
On Thursday, May 1, we’ll hold our Monthly Member Meeting, where we’ll be reviewing upcoming cruises and social events, followed by our Education Segment.
As part of our April meeting, we’ll be serving pizza. Please bring your own beverages. If you’ll be at the meeting, please help us with ordering enough pizza letting us know how many are coming. If you wish to enjoy the pizza, it’s very important you RSVP by Tuesday, April 29.
Our 50/50 raffle will be held, so please bring cash (small bills) to participate in this fun, and potentially rewarding, activity.
Education Segment
Marine Towing & Salvage
Jordan Potts, TowBoatU.S. Charlotte Harbor
Our speaker this month, Jordan Potts, of TowBoatU.S. Charlotte Harbor. Jordan will discuss his role as Dispatch Manager, overseeing all local towing and salvage operation for their fleet of six vessels.
Jodan has extensive knowledge of the shallow waters, especially surrounding the Pine Island area, where he grew up, spending endless hours kayaking the shallow flats.
This should be an interesting and informational segment.
