On Friday, February 24, we’re taking a road trip to the National Weather Service Center in Ruskin, FL. Two center meteorologists, Rodney Wynn and Yidiana Zayas, will lead a presentation and tour of the facility for PGIslanders members. There will be plenty of time to ask questions, and you’re encouraged to send them questions ahead of our visit.
We have been asked to meet at their office at 10:30 am. We can meet at the parking lot by the UPS Store at Bal Harbor to carpool. Since the trip will take ninety minutes to two hours, be ready to leave by 8:30 am. If you plan to drive and can take some members, please let us know how many you can take. If you need a ride, indicate this when signing up.
After our tour, we’ll lunch locally at the Sunset Grill in Ruskin and order off the regular menu. The restaurant is in a large marina overlooking Tampa Bay and the St Petersburg skyline.
