Naples National Art Cruise – 2020
Between Feb. 19 and Feb. 21, nine PGIslander boats (8 power and 1 sail) left Punta Gorda for the Naples National Art Cruise.
On Thursday the power boats had a perfect day with almost no wind allowing for a fast trip. On Friday it was sailboat weather with 20kn. + winds from the north.
Friday night’s activity included hors d’oeuvers on Akerman’s Toucana at the Naples City Dock. The main event on Saturday was walking at leisure through the famous National Art Show in Cambier Park to view and even buy some fantastic art.
The evening’s highlight was dinner at the fabulous Bistro 821. After dinner 8 of the hearty soles went for night caps to Paddy Murphy’s Irish Pub in Naples. On Sunday the fast boats returned north in light wind. Monday was for sailing with heavy winds from the south.
